Charitable Giving
When you give to CFS, you help us to touch the lives of thousands of families in Hawai‘i and provide them with the tools and resources to create meaningful and lasting change in their own lives.
Additionally, your charitable contribution strengthens CFS by helping us to reinvest in the work we do and to provide services beyond what is contracted through government funding. This means we can deploy innovative strategies to provide services, build capacity, and design highly effective programs that don’t simply provide a handout, but rather a hand up.
Thank you for helping to strengthen Hawai‘i’s families.

Designate CFS through your workplace giving campaign
If your employer offers a workplace giving campaign, you can designate Child & Family Service (CFS) to receive your gift. If CFS isn’t already a listed option, please consider nominating us to be added as a beneficiary.
Secure a matching gift from your employer
Looking for an easy way to multiply your impact? Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program. Programs vary, but many employers will match all or a portion of your gift to Child & Family Service, potentially doubling (or more) your support for families across Hawai’i.
Include CFS as a beneficiary of your Will, Trust, Life Insurance Policy, or other Estate Plans
When making such a personal and meaningful decision, we want to be sure we understand and honor your wishes and welcome a conversation to answer any questions you may have. Please call our Chief Advancement Officer at Child & Family Service’s Office of Advancement: 808.543.8413 or reach out by email: cfsadvancement@cfs-hawaii.org.
IRA Required Minimum Distribution
If you are 70½ or older and have not yet taken your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your retirement account, there is a way to give that could also lower your tax liability.
You can donate all or part of your RMD directly to Child & Family Service (CFS). Since this gift goes direct from your retirement account to CFS, it may not count as taxable income for you, thus lowering your tax bill while strengthening Hawai’i families.
